Our Trustees are:
Ruth Gabriel is Chair – Responsible for Residents Care and Admissions – Retired from the NHS in August 2017, having been a dietitian for 40 years. She has lived in the village for about 38 years and is Involved with the Abbots Langley Scout group and fund raising, regularly seen at jumble sales and cooking burgers!
Matthew Bedford is Treasurer - Three Rivers District Councillor for Abbots Langley and Bedmond ward 2014-2024 and Lead Councillor with responsibility for Resources (Finance) and Shared Services. Matthew moved to Abbots Langley in 1989 and was also a parish councillor from 1991 to 1995. Currently works as Finance Director for the UK/Ireland subsidiary of a worldwide group that makes life-support medical and safety equipment, including manufacture of breathing apparatus in the UK. He has previously worked for organisations in both the private and voluntary sectors, always in a finance/accounting role.
Liz Moore- Trained as a Chartered Librarian and experienced in working in public, school and college libraries at a senior level. Has also worked in estate agency, with a cosmetic company, and knitted for a designer for Harrads. Has been a resident of Abbots Langley since 1993 and involved with A/L Abbeyfield since retirement in 2003 – as volunteer housekeeper, house committee Chair, trustee and now Chair.
Jeff King– Responsible for IT and web sites, P/R and Marketing– Abbots Langley resident retired in 2016 from a long career in technology, design, marketing and consultancy.
Kate Quinton– Responsible for HR. Kate moved to Abbots Langley in 1968 and taught Biology and Chemistry at various local secondary schools. She has been a Head of Department and also Head of Sixth Form. She first helped out at A/L
Peter Jowsey - supporting projects and ongoing activities within the Trustee team.
We all live locally to the house.
